Our Harvest Service took place at the church where we thought about what harvest really means. Members of Falcon class took it in turns to read out key information and then held up letters at certain points to highlight important words such as 'HARVEST', 'EARTH', 'STARVE', 'SHARE' and 'HEART'.
Each class got to share something with the rest of the school. Owl Class sang the Little Red Hen and shared their artwork, Kestrel Class did a short play about flour using actions and Kite Class told us what they were grateful for and showed their artwork.
The children really enjoyed singing Harvest Samba and Lets Harvest with Singing.
During the service, each child got to carry their food to the altar. Thank you for all your generous donations which were later collected by a group of children from Falcon class and given to the Lord's Larder food bank in Butleigh.
