Tuesday 24th

Dear Kite Class

Here are some suggested ideas for your home learning, today.

9 o’clock - spellings - ask a grown-up to read your words from your red book while you write them into your maths home learning book. Then change the colour of your pencil and mark them yourself, just like we do at school. If you don’t get the spelling right, copy the word from your red book using your bright colour next to your try in your maths book. I attach your spellings for you to practise ready for next Tuesday.

9:30 - yoga - sadly I can’t email a swimming pool to you! But I thought you would like to do the yoga you did with me for Sport Relief using these video clips to keep fit:

10:30 - Take a break and wash your hands, then have a piece of fruit.

11 o’clock - PSHE - as a sign of a happy home learner, make a picture of a rainbow to hang in your window. Use this picture to help you get the colours in the right order. Can you remember our rainbow song in French?

Have a lovely lunch hour.

1 o’clock - maths - see enclosures. Year 1 carry on with numbers up to 50 and Year 2 carry on with fractions.

2 o’clock - ICT - laptop work, see if you can open a Word document using white W on a blue square from Desktop.  Show your grown-up how you can make an Easter picture by inserting shapes.  Can you find an egg shape?  Can you find a cracking shape like a lightning strike? Can you find a cross shape? Ask your grown-up if you can print one copy ready for the next step, next ICT lesson. If you don’t have a computer or a printer there is lots of other technology equipment around us. Ask your grown-up if you can make a phone call to someone who might be on their own. Maybe you could sing your favourite song down the phone to cheer them up, is it our French colour song?  Ask them to call you back within the week and then your grown-up can teach you how to answer a phone call (using technology around the home).

3 o’clock - golden mile - how many times can you run around the garden in ten minutes?

Have a lovely evening. I’ll try to send you a video clip tomorrow.
