Butleigh children are good at speaking out against injustice, on behalf of those whose voice is not heard.
We are twinned with St Peter’s Primary School, Kajuki, in a harsh, semi arid area of Kenya. We sponsor a child from a very poor family, who would otherwise not be able to receive an education - Allan Njeru. We also fundraise to help give daily lunch to hundreds of primary school children. We exchange banners, letters, posters and drawings with the children of St Peter’s. Butleigh children choose Allan before themselves when fundraising for example the Key stage 2 production collection was donated to Allan, by request of the year 6.
