Friends of Butleigh School
We have a thriving and hardworking parents' association - the Friends of Butleigh School, currently chaired by Mrs Nicky Tucker, which very successfully organises fund raising events. The money raised continues to fundamentally improve the children's learning experience by providing equipment, apparatus and enrichment. They have provided stunning outdoor play equipment for the whole school and trips out including an amazing trip to the Theatre in Bath. All parents are automatically members of the Friends of Butleigh School. Regular meetings are held to which all parents are warmly welcomed. This presently includes online meetings to keep all families safe.
As well as the larger annual events such as sports day, school fete, Christmas fayre and cinema nights, there are regular events such as cake days, colouring competitions and bags-2-schools collections. At least once a term there is also a 'Mufti Day' when the children are allowed to come to school out of uniform for a small donation.
