This week we all took part in the online festival to celebrate the magic of reading. Each day the children watched a different video and explored a theme from Cressida Cowell’s Waterstones Children’s Laureate Charter: “Every child has the right to...”
“...be creative for at least 15 minutes a week” - Monday
“...have a planet to read on” - Tuesday
“...see themselves reflected in a book” - Wednesday
“...have some choice in what they read” - Thursday
"...read for the joy of it"- Friday
Today the whole school spent the day exploring one of our Christian Values - 'Respect'. Each class shared the famous bible story of the Creation in Genesis and thought about why it is important to show respect towards people, animals, plants and the earth. We ended the day with a whole school assembly where each class had the chance to share some artwork linked to the area they were exploring.
The whole school back together after 18 months! Lots of happy, smiley faces.
