  • Jack Rutter - Athlete visit

    Tue 25 Jan 2022

The whole school had a fantastic afternoon filled with lots of exercise and different activities. Each class and our school nursery had the chance to work with Jack Rutter, our Paralympic footballer visitor and find out about his experience as an athlete.

He gave a motivational talk about the importance of exercise for fun and wellbeing. The whole school did a work out with Jack outside to music and then he told the children about his incredible journey to getting to the Olympic Games. The school raised over £600 in sponsor money to go towards PE equipment in school. A massive thank you for every ones support with fundraising.

  • Geography Day

    Mon 10 Jan 2022

The whole school enjoyed their Geography Day. Each class explored a different place with Owl Class looking at the UK, Kite Class focused on the USA, Kestrel Class explored Italy and Falcon Class delved a little deeper into Greece, linked to their topic this term.

This was a lovely opportunity for the children to all find out a little more about different places in the world and better understand where each place is located in relation to where we live.

There was lots of map work, atlas study and learning about the world happening around the school – a fun day of learning.

Kite class were very lucky to end their day with a song about New York sung by Mr Short!

  • Outdoor Learning

    Wed 05 Jan 2022

Owl's class enjoyed the winter sun this week in outdoor learning where they made kites and learnt how to fly them.

  • Honesty Value Day

    Wed 05 Jan 2022

This term we are exploring our 'Honesty' value. As a school, we spent the day thinking about what honesty means and why it is important. We then came together to share what we had learnt and the exciting activities we completed based on this value.  KS2 read the Book of Proverb, while KS1 focused on David and the Wolf. The children enjoyed drama, artwork and Bible stories as well as writing their own prayers about Honesty.
